Image Comics is an American comic book publisher that was founded in 1992 by seven high-profile illustrators as a way to publish their own creator-owned titles without giving up the copyrights to the characters they created. The company is based in Portland, Oregon and has become known for its creator-owned titles such as Spawn, The Walking Dead, and Saga.
